Yogi Adityanath Meets Those Injured In Rae Bareli NTPC Boiler Blast

LUCKNOW:  Hours after he returned from his three-day trip to Mauritius, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday visited the hospitals in Lucknow where the injured in the boiler blast at the NTPC unit in Rae Bareli have been admitted, even as the toll rose to 35.

So far 21 patients, in two shifts, have been flown by air ambulances to New Delhi for higher and specialized treatment.

Yogi Adityanath, who was on a three-day tour of Mauritius, returned on Saturday after which he met the victims of NTPC boiler blast at the Civil Hospital, Trauma Centre and SGPGI.

 The number of deaths has risen to 35, with the death of two more persons. The condition of five patients in the SGPGI is improving, director Ravi Kapoor informed. These persons had suffered 20-25 per cent burns in the incident.
The Rae Bareli administration has ordered a magisterial probe into the incident, while the Centre has constituted a probe team headed by the NTPC executive director.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Thursday had issued a notice to the Yogi government, seeking a detailed report in six weeks.
