What Tells the Historic Ayodhya Ram Janam Bhoomi and Babri Masjid verdict to the Nation

NEW DELHI: Finally, the Ayodhya verdict has come after a lot of suspense and anticipation. It came as it was expected, though the opposite groups had their own expectations. But as a lay person like me who is almost illiterate in the judicial matters, can’t opine as an expert on this issue.

But what I could gather from the Supreme Court’s judgement that this decision not only ended this long dispute between the two great religious communities of India, Hindus and Muslims, forever but surely also put a curtain on all those organisations which tried to show themselves as the great champions of this cause and fought the case forcefully as they could.

Both parties put their cases vehemently and convincingly which they could before the honorable judges. But the Supreme court took decision purely on the basis of evidence which both parties could bring forward.

And finally, a balanced decision came and it went in favour of the majority community. Now, it is pretty clear that a grand temple would be built in the near future.

The Sunni Waqf board has shown their displeasure and unhappiness and signalled to appeal for a review petition.

My idea is that this case should be considered as closed forever. But unfortunately, there may be new efforts to raise such other cases and harvest politically in the religiously polarized waters.

I urge the general people of both Communities to behave sanely and should not fall in the trap of the vested interests of the politicians and religious heads whose only aim is to keep themselves politically alive and collect money unaccounted as the religious donations on which they could live lavishly.
