SJVN To Organise State Level Painting Competition

SHIMLA: A state level painting competition is being organized by SJVN on 15th Nov 2018 at its Corporate Office Complex, Shimla.

Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur will grace the occasion as Chief Guest and Minister of Education, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Suresh Bhardwaj and  Minister of Energy and MPP, Anil Sharma will be  guests of Honour.

Ministry of Power, Government of India had launched a National Awareness Campaign for Energy Conservation in year 2005. The painting competition for school students at, state and national level are being organized since then under the aegis of Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). SJVN, is the Nodal Agency for organizing this competition in Himachal Pradesh.

The Painting Competition is being organized under two categories- Category ‘A’ for 4th to 6th class students and Category ‘B’ for 7th to 9th class students. SJVN in association with Directorate of Education, HP had invited participants from Govt. Schools whereas, Public & Private Schools were invited by SJVN directly.

The competition is being organized at three phases – School, State and National level. For the first phase of the Competition, all the invited schools conduct a painting competition at the school level and submit two best paintings to SJVN. Thereafter, 50 best paintings are selected from each category (A & B) for selecting participants for the State Level Painting Competition.

All the selected 100 participants will now participate in the state level competition being organized by SJVN. Top three winners of both the categories will bag cash prizes of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 10,000. There are  ten consolation prizes of Rs 5,000 each as well.
