SHIMLA: SJVN has started a Roti Bank at its Head Quarters at Shimla as a unique initiative for providing rotis to the attendants of patients admitted in the Cancer Hospital, IGMC Shimla.
Chairman & Managing Director Nand Lal Sharma, along with Director (Finance) A. S. Bindra, Director (Electrical) R. K Bansal, Director (Civil), Kanwar Singh, Director (Personnel) Mrs Geeta Kapur, and S.S. Negi, CVO inaugurated the Roti Bank by handing over approximately 1500 rotis contributed by employees of SJVN to Sarbjeet Singh Bobby of ‘Almighty Blessings’, Shimla.
On this occasion, Nand Lal Sharma said that the concept of helping the needy and underprivileged is in consonance with SJVN’s belief of extending helping hand to the needy for betterment of the society.
Every Wednesday, SJVN Roti Bank will collect rotis voluntarily contributed by the employees and donate it for further distribution among the attendants of the cancer patients in IGMC, Shimla.
