The United States’ road network exceeds 65.8 lakh km, the world’s longest and biggest road network.
Washington DC: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan feels that roads in his state are better than those in United States.Chauhan said, “When I got down at the Washington Airport and travelled on roads, I felt the roads in Madhya Pradesh are better than the United States.”
Chouhan made the comment while addressing the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum meeting in Washington.During his six-day visit to Washington D.C., Chouhan visited the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. today. His visit is aimed to promote investment in Madhya Pradesh.

“We’ve constructed 1.75 lakh KM (approx) of roads in MP. Have connected all villages with roads. Value addition in an agricultural sector is my first priority as that ties in with our PM Modi’s vision of doubling farmers income.
“Projects like Start up India, Digital India, Stand Up India, Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Beema Yojna, Aam Aadmi Beema Yojna, Housing for All have been started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s economic development rate is more than 7 per cent,” the Chief Minister said.
