LUCKNOW, 27 May 2018: The much awaited ICN Film and Book Fest 2018 was organised successfully at Lucknow. The event started with Lightening the Lamp by the eminent personalities present on the occasion namely I.H.Siddiqui (Chairman ICN), Prof. Awadh Ram (Ex-Vice Chancellor-Kashi Vidyapeeth),Dr. Jagdish Gandhi (Founder Manager CMS Group), Sister Blessy (Administrator Fatima Hospital) and Tarun Prakash Srivastava (Sr. Executive Editor-ICN).
The gathering gave the standing ovation and clapping to Prof. K.V. Nagaraj, Chief Advisor-ICN Group and Rakesh Lohumi, Sr. Editor-ICN Group.
This was followed by awards giving ceremony. Dr A.M Khan (Elect President-UP IMA), Prof. J.N. Jaiswal, Dr Ruksana Khan, Douglas P. Shepherd, Yash Bharti awardee Kewal Kumar and other eminent personalities graced this event. In Film category Suresh Thakur got the award for Hindi Film “Vand-e-Matram-Ek Ehsaas”, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj got it for English Film “Martyr’s of Marriage”, Dr. Rayaz Hassan for Hindi Film “Parchhaain”, Aashish Maurya for Marathi Film “Raincoat-for everyone” and Dr. Maulik Chauhan for Hindi Film “The Suspect”.
The award for International & Indian Diaspora Category was given to Dr. Shah Ayaz Siddiqui Editor-In-Chief ICN Group and Rebecca Brindza Foreign Correspondent USA/ISRAEL.
For Health Category the awards to given to Dr. Vaibhav Khanna (Smile Train Project), Dr. Rama Srivastava (IMA, Lucknow), Dr. Anup Agarwal (Nursing Home Association), Dr. Vivek Kumar (Leprosy Mission), Dr. Asad Abbas (Neuro Care), Dr. Aleem Siddiqui (IMA, Lucknow), Dr. Wariza Seth (Naari Female Health Care), Prof. Anurag Yadav (Sanjiwani Dental Educational Society), Dr. Sanjay Srivastava (Clinical Psychology) and Dr Vijeta Kapur (Physiotherapy).
For Nursing category the award was given to Sister Blessy (Administrator Fatima Hospital). Prof Jaswant Singh got the award in Science category.
City Montessori School (CMS Group) was given award in School Education Category and the award in Sports Category was given to Douglas Shepherd.
In Literature Category the award were given to Yogesh Praveen and Sitanshu Kumar. The Art & Culture Category awards were given to Kewal Kumar and Sunita Jhingran.
The Women Achievers’ Award was given to Poorva Dhawan. Ahsan Ayyub got the award in Entrepreneur Category whereas Ashok Kumar Shukla got it in Legal Journalism. The award in Direction & Production Category was given to Akhil Kumar Srivastava while RLE Movement got the award in Social Education Category.
The Social Media Category award was given to Amit Kholia (Haldwani Online 2011). Prof. R.K. Yadav got award in Agriculture Education.

The Appreciation Awards in Bureau Chief Category were given to Dr. Dakter Esse (Deputy Editor-ICN North East cum Bureau Chief-ICN Arunanchal Pradesh), Dr Kumar Raka (Bureau Chief-ICN Delhi), Debraj Deb (Bureau Chief-ICN Tripura), Dr. Nosheen Ali (Bureau Chief-ICN Madhya Pradesh), Akoijam Tompok (Bureau Chief-ICN Manipur) and Klinsa Kurian (Bureau Chief-ICN Kerala).
Dr. Ripudman Singh (Special Correspondent-ICN Group) and Hemant Kumar (Agriculture Correspondent-ICN) got the award in Agriculture Journalism Category. The awards in Social Journalism Category were given to Garima Gaur (Asstt. Editor-ICN Group) and Dr. Shazia V Siddiqui (Asstt.Editor-ICN Group (Social Psychology).
The Medical Journalism Category awards were given to Dr. Pranjal Agarwal (Asstt. Editor-ICN Group) and Dr. Amay Tripathi (Asstt. Editor-ICN Group). Mr Amresh Kumar Singh got the award in Information & Communication Technology Category.
The awards in Debut Category were given to Dr. Vasu Singh (Bureau Chief-ICN UP), Eram Fatima (Sub Editor-ICN), Poornima Dubey (Sub Editor-ICN), Amit Kumar Pandey (Special Correspondent-ICN Uttarakhand), Deepak Singh Bisht (Special Correspondent-ICN Uttarakhand), Ritika Sanwal (Bureau-Almora) and Shubham Gupta (Bureau-Rudrapur).
