The Homoeopathic sweet tablets and the touch of the doctor make me reach there since my childhood. Among all the pains and illness that we see today made me have a different thought.
This time, my agony is not due to physical pains or ailments. What I am pained is all because of the emotional sickness that we find all around us.
While driving to my wokplace, I saw couple of fruitsellers and local puri-bhajiwala. They were busy in their own business. It hardly mattered to them that they were busy selling the unhygienic items. The cut water-melon was experiencing the dust etc of local traffic were everywhere. The puriwala was having the same story and he was busy using the left over oil of yesterday.
The local lad of the college was busy in bargaining with the rickshaw puller and the poor chap was at a loss. A biker was in too much of a hurry that he almost hit the old lady (without having a guilt on his face) not to mention that he broke the traffic rule and was driving in the wrong lane.
By the time I could reach my office, I got a call from my friend that his father has expired. I delegated my work and went to ‘baikunthdham’, the local crematorium. It was a wonder for me that the local pandas were trying to mint the money and were asking more than what the official rates were.
And then I found that it was Bharat Band today and the local auto walas were charging almost the double fares. The cabs were equally asking higher fare. I somehow managed to get a ‘bargained’ auto to a friend of mine. The moment they left the place, I saw a thelawala who was manually dragging an overloaded cart and was sweating like anything.
Busyness was everywhere, the business was all around. The humans were there but empathy was missing. May be its high time to rethink our activities and try to go humanopathic.
