What is supposed to be the day of love and celebration, has got varied agendas, courtesy freedom to speak and freedom to act.
If you are love birds and are found hanging around, beware of the so-called saviours of culture and traditions who might lathi-charge you on various pretexts. Only God knows, how this gunda like acts be a part of our rich human traditions!
Some people are in favour of celebrating this day as “Parents’ Day”. I have witnessed prabhat feries near my house for the sake of this event. However, the poor souls who are behind this movement are much likely to suffer in the battle field of marketing and sales where ‘love’ materials are much on sales than on the traditional stuffs. Still, a noble try and my wishes might be a support and respite for you guys.
I still wonder, how come this 14th Feb is the day of love and romance, in the light of the history of St. Valentine. And the answer comes from my management guru who always says “Sales is what matter”. The flowers, chocolates, teddies, the greeting cards and several such goodies are all for sales, and I hardly find anything wrong as long as we find the Indian products on sales.
The social trend-setters literally are having punch-outs over the martyr date of Bhagat Singh and his allies. While some advocate that they were hanged on this date while some observe that the verdict was just passed on this date. The data war between deshbhakts is worth watching till the third umpire says that on this date, the mercy petition filed by Malviya ji was turned down, making it clear that the execution of the those lads was final.
But who cares for the history? What matters is the social patriotism and titling the vote banks.
Anyhow, the best day to show your love and loyalty is towards our nation and I start it with Jai Hind. Yeah, I love India and I don’t need to show my deeds to prove it. But the million dollar fact is that there are many fellow-citizens who love this nation more than me yet they face various hardships beyond imagination. Salute, My armed citizens! God knows when their arms and other limps would leave them.
The unfulfilled valentine wishes of the 42 families. And the irony of the nation, my nation is that we are caught in a debate whether it is martyrdom or just a simple death. The irony is that nothing came from outside but was fed from within. And our intelligence inputs did fail to take care of this.
The party which is putting the intelligence failure on high pitch had two of its PM killed in the terrorist attacks. The party who is controlling the state and the centre today is the one which made the hue and cry in 2013 with bangles that was to be gifted to then government. None of the political parties refrain from taking the political mileage.
Is it not the fact such an incident took place because of step behaviour towards our para-military forces? When army moves, the roads are cordoned off but when these forces move, no such arrangements are made; leave alone the matter of fringe and other benefits for these para-souls who take it first on their chest. It is all shocking to see that a vehicle full of explosives get into the convoy whereas you won’t find a single dog enter when the vehicles of a politician move. Why is that the aircraft was not provided to airlift the CRPF jawans?
“Forces are meant to be killed” is the deadliest statement that I could hear in this nation of brotherhood and that too on the birth anniversary of Begum Mumtaz Jehan Dehlavi (Oops! I forgot to mention that we know her by Madhubala and who was loved beyond religions). But who cares and why should they care?
The TRP has to go high. The political stunts have to be in limelight. Media ideologies take different paths and just go beyond social sentiments. I mean how can one say that India puts a blame on the neighbouring country despite the fact that the onus of such an act has been taken by the foreign agency itself.
What I have to see is that whether there in resolution passed in the Bar Council or other lobbies of advocates to refrain from taking the case of the accused. It may sound against the spirit of law and the spirit of natural justice. But what about the law and what about the spirit for those brave souls?
They killed 42 and we want 4200 is the best statement that can come in such a scenario but taking such an action in retaliation is bound to increase the causalities. It started with 42 and any such action would make it to more than 10 times on our side. Yes, we lose because of our defensive strategy and the so-called boring subjects like history do tell us that attack is the best strategy. However, such attacks are not always in the battle fields but beyond that as well.
The MFN status is withdrawn and so is the security of Hurriyat leaders. Hurray! the steps are taken at last. I mean, how come the same CRPF people provide security to them who plot and support such acts against the CRPF and other security forces? India awaits more of such (concrete) actions, Mr Defence Minister, in this year of election or can we delay the elections by a year to take care of such critical issues?
The candle marches are the show-stoppers these days and we end up showing our solidarity by changing our DPs and be a part of such candle marches. The march is over and we fall asleep lest we have other stakes in such incidents. Little do we know that candles have lead contents that are not good for the environment. Can’t we use the diyas for the same?
Yet, my question is how many people who put up slogans with best of their lung power, actually owe to go to the border and take the revenge. How many of them actually take the oath to join the armed forces or send their wards to take it head-ons. Never mind, lip-sinkings are the trolls of the day. Still, we find compensation of varied amounts courtesy the local state government policies.
They loved India and that is why they are wrapped in Indian tri-color. We are used see more of such wrapped boxes these days now, Odium! Just to recall that odium means the group of politicians. Little wonder that the other synonym for this collective noun is ‘Lie’.
We blame Pakistan and little do we do for that country that always put a full stop for any acts that tries to ban the “Jaish-e- Mohammed” and arrest the brain behind this group. Chinese mindset is just ridiculous and simply unacceptable. However, we would bring our grieves by chanting certain anti-China slogans and boycotting their products till we have the festival that sells the Chinese colours and pumps. Short term patriotism always paints you black, my dear countrymen. Please see to it.
Let us recall the statements made by the then oppositions whenever such brutal acts take place. Be it the time of Kargil attack or Mumbai explosions or the time when our soldiers were beheaded a couple of years back. The more patriotic stuff in all times to recall is our oppositions. Great!
So, let us see whether we find live shows from the ground zero or end up taking another show in the mall in our area. Let us hope that we have article 370 and 35A to be deleted and removed from recycle bin forever. Let us hope that Baluchistan is free now. Let us long to see the Indian tri-color flying high at Lahore. Let us hope and join our hands. Let us be our own Valentines.
The Google location of Masood Azhar was flashed on certain news channels and we wish Brahmos to make it to his destiny. If such acts are sponsored by the people who are born in an Islamic country like Pakistan, shouldn’t there be a fatwa against this nation and termed as “Anti-Islamic” country. I still wonder, how come the Supreme Power accepts such souls after their death.
But before that please know it is not Pakistan or China or any other country that matter. It is the mentality that kills. It is the mindset that demarks the boundaries and the saddest part is that it is all happening within our own boundaries. And the reason is just that we are limiting ourselves within our own drawn boundaries. It is time to act brave and blunt to such elements as the nation’s sentiments are all time high, now. Such journeys have to start with actions on local lads who lauded on such barbaric act. Anti-national is just anti-national. Kill it. Period!
Please note that these idiotic minds may not be involved in such anti-nation theory but take opportunities to kill, loot, rape and take law in their hands. The crime within is the crime outside. It is time to brainwash the guys and the good souls have to take up this task as we find the acts of crime more than the acts of cross-border terrorism.
But we focus on what the trend says and how it goes, and the Sony TV suffers. Ha Ha Ha!
And the brave soldiers end up saying “ab tumhare hawale watan sathiyon”. I still wonder whether it is in a patriotic mode or is it a sarcastic note keeping in mind the reptiles in our own premises that says, “Guys, I have done my duty and protected you from the foreign attacks. I can’t bear the local serpents any more”.
Time to introspect, honestly. Anyhow, Jai Hind folks.
Long Live India.
