HALDWANI: The only private blood bank at Haldwani, Uttarakhand went dry on the 22nd of November, 2018 and the demand for the most common blood group B+ was 5 units needed for different patients in a super urgency.As the message reached, it helped in establishing the largest Facebook group of Uttarakhand namely, HALDWANI ONLINE 2011.The founder, Amit Kholia, who is also the ICN Editor, Uttarakhand rushed to the blood bank and took control of the whole situation by calling his friends and acquaintances and inspired them to come up for the social cause by donating blood at the time of crisis.Amit Kholia led from the front, since he himself donated blood, setting an example for others to tread his path.HALDWANI ONLINE 2011 was established in the year 2011 and started the blood donation drive #BLOOD_LINE on the trot three years ago and has helped more than almost 5000 patients till date.
