Hai Ram Ke Wajood Par Hindustan Ko Naaz, Ahle Nazar Samajhte Hain Usko Imam-e-Hind

NEW DELHI: In India, millions and millions of people not only worship Ram, but also admire and emulate him as a great role model.In Indian culture, nothing can equate with the ethos of our ancient culture and tradition other than the great teachings of Rama.

In Urdu literature and culture, Ramayana has always been revered and taken as a great literary treasure and around three hundred different versions of Ramayana in translation and other forms got published in Urdu from time to time since 1857.

Great Urdu poet Allama Iqbal has written a complete poem on him, titled, Ram. He says:

Hai Ram ke wajood par Hindustan Ko Naaz

Ahle Nazar samajhte hain usko Imam-e-Hind

( People of India feel immensely proud to find Ram among them and people of vision take him as a great spiritual leader of India.)

A dialogue has been organized on the topic of Imam-e-Hind : Ram- sabke Ram and ‘Presence and Relevance of Ramayana In Urdu Language, Literature and Culture’,  by Adabi Cocktail & Dialogue Initiative Foundation, Delhi in association with Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, MP at Deputy Speaker Hall, Constitution Club, New Delhi on 1 September, 2019 at 3 PM.

On that day, the play, titled, Imam-e-Hind : Ram (writer: Dr Mohammad Aleem) will also be released both in Devanagari and Urdu script. It is the first such kind of attempt in history that a full length literary play in chaste Urdu has been written by any Urdu writer.

The key note address will be delivered by famous Islamic thinker and former cabinet minister, Government of India, Shri Arif Mohammad Khan. This program will be chaired by noted scholar, Dr Mahesh Chandra Sharma and the Chief Guest will be Mahamandleshwar Swami Raghvanand Ji and the guest of honor will be VC, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, M.P.

The objective of this dialogue is to set a new discourse in today’s highly charged atmosphere of socio-cultural perspective of India.
