(In some of the past articles, we knew about some strategies and mindset for preparation of examinations and good practices during examination. Today, we will know some points to be taken care of after examinations.)

GOOD PRACTICES AFTER EXAMINATION

Don’t thinks & discuss excessively about your performance

NOIDA: Don’t think & discuss excessively about your performance in the examination. You can’t do anything regarding examination, which is over. Often you appear in various entrance examinations. If you keep on discussing on your mistakes in last examination, your next examination will also be spoilt. Remember, everybody makes silly mistakes. You are also human. You have every right to do mistakes.

Remember, you had prepared and appeared in the examination for maximum marks/ grades, but if you don’t get it, you are not a failure. Determine that you will persist and succeed. As Zig Ziglar puts it, “failure is an event, not a person.” Life keeps on throwing the opportunities before you; you just have to remain alert to identify the right opportunity and grab it.

Don’t get carried away with initial success

Don’t carried away with success in the entrance examination. It is just a milestone towards your success and you have to cross many milestones on the road to success. In earlier articles, we had talked about Roger Bannister, who had run a mile in less than 4 minutes in 1954. In an interview conducted by BBC in 2004 on the 50th anniversary of running the sub-4-minute mile, Bannister was asked, whether he looked back on the sub-4-minute mile as the most important achievement of his life. Bannister replied in negative. He rather stated that his subsequent forty years of practicing & contribution in the field of neurology were more significant to him. What does this show? This shows that you should not remain stuck up with your earlier successes. That is past. You have to move ahead in life.

Madam Curie did not stop doing here research after getting one Nobel Prize for her achievements. She kept on working on her research and secured another Nobel Prize. You would be surprised to know that both her Nobel Prizes were given in separate field of research.

So, never stop and keep moving.

(In the next article, I will discuss how to align the stream of subjects with chosen career. I believe that you are enjoying the journey towards the future of your dreams with me. If yes, please stay tuned. Happy G.O.P.T.A.)
