(In the past article no. 62 of this series, we knew about how to use Law of Cause & Effect, popularly known as Law of Karma in your favour. Today, we will continue with the same topic.

Use Law of Cause & Effect (Law of Karma) …

You already know that whatever life state you are experiencing, you are exhausting some of the good positive karma and at the same time working out some of the accumulated negative karma. Now your target should be to at least keep intact the balance of good positive karma for carrying forward or to increase the balance. This can be done only by improving your value to the universe as a whole. Become a contributor, not a sucker. Look at the opportunities of adding value to the universe, whether it is society or friends or neighbours or anything else.

For the benefit of you all, with great reverence to J. Krishnamurti, I am quoting him from his timeless piece of work titled ‘At the Feet of the Master’:-

“God has a plan and that plan is evolution. When once a man has seen that and really knows it, he cannot help working for it and making himself one with it, because it is so glorious, so beautiful. So, because he knows, he is on God’s side, standing for good and resisting evil, working for evolution and not for selfishness. If he is on God’s side he is one of us, and it does not matter in the least whether he calls himself a Hindu, or a Buddhist, a Christian or a Muslim, whether he is an Indian or an Englishman, a Chinese or a Russian..”

You can see that if we decide to be on God’s side and do good work for the benefit of others at large, that would actually benefit the progress of our own soul. There is no complicated theory behind this. The day you understand this simple theory will be the day, from when you will have an urge from your inside to improve your overall value to the society and as a result will start having control on your thoughts, words and actions. Your whole ‘self’ will indulge in recharging ever reducing balance of accumulated positive karma, resulting in overall progress of your own soul and its journey from life to life.

Whenever you dislike any effect, develop the tendency to look at the causes. If you develop this habit, you will start taking advantage of Law of Karma by creating good causes which support the results as per your wishes. You will start understanding that your thoughts create the results in your life and if you want to change your results, you have to change your thoughts.

The Golden Rule of Law of Karma says that do unto others, what you want others to do unto you. The Silver Rule of Law of Karma says that don’t do unto others, what you don’t want others to do unto you. Both these rules are self-explanatory. Whatever you sow, you have to reap in due course. If you need prosperity, do charity. If you do charity, your prosperity will increase due to effects of Law of Karma.

You should also remember one more thing about law of cause & effect that in most of the cases, the effects are seen after a time lag and the multitude is much higher than your causes, as in the case of sowing seeds. You sow a seed and after a certain period of time, you don’t reap only one seed but you reap full harvest year after year.

Effective utilization of GOPTA

Earlier, we thought that Law of Cause & Effects is purely spiritual concept and we have to follow it in old age. Now after correct understanding, we will tap power of GOPTA in taking benefit of law of cause & effect right NOW.

Earlier, we thought that God is responsible for good or bad, whatever we are experiencing. Now we know that the results manifesting in our lives are due to causes created by us in the past, whether good or bad; and if we want to change the results, WE have to work upon the causes.

(In the next article, we will know about the power of self-discipline. I believe that you are enjoying the journey towards the future of your dreams with me. If yes, please stay tuned every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. Happy G.O.P.T.A.)
