KOLKATA: At the end of the last article of this series, I left you with an empowering incantation that “The Universal Father Almighty God, who has sent me on this Earth, is always with me.” I am sure that you would have experienced the perennial flow of the energy from the cosmos after repeating this empowering incantation. Today, we will see how a limiting belief can be flushed out of your thinking process by installing empowering positive belief in your thinking process.
Move from negatives to positives in each walk of life
You can easily overcome your self-limiting beliefs. The theme of this article is that you have to move from negatives to positives in each walk of life. If you want to remove a self-limiting belief, you have to first inculcate an empowering positive belief, which will gradually throw out the negative beliefs out of your system. Human mind is able to develop the antidotes of negativity i.e. positivity. You just have to do a deep introspection and then take some positive actions in right direction.
I suggest an exercise here. Take a cup full of tea without milk. It looks brownish. Now pour clean water in your cup. You will observe that the colour of the tea is getting lighter & lighter as old brownish tea is getting spilled out of the cup along with water. Now add some quantity of tea to this liquid. Colour of the liquid will again become dark brownish. Now keep on pouring the clean water in the cup. You will find that if you keep on pouring clean water, after some time, the colour of liquid remaining in the cup will get clear.
An important point to observe here is that the speed of pouring in clean water and the speed of the pouring in tea is not so important. The point is that if the supply of clean water is continuous and the quantum and/ or speed of pouring in fresh water is more than pouring tea, the liquid will gradually become cleaner.
Similar is the case with your sub-conscious mind. From childhood, too many negative beliefs and negative thoughts have become deep rooted in your sub-conscious mind. Moreover, as we live in the world, where more & more negativity is continuously bombarding our sub-conscious mind, you have to continuously provide positive inputs to your sub-conscious mind in the form of positive beliefs. In the case of tea cup, you have an option to empty the cup and then pour clear water in it; but your brain does not work like that. First you have to identify & slowly inculcate a positive belief; only then the old belief will leave your sub-conscious mind, slowly and gradually making room for this new empowering belief. From the above example, an inescapable conclusion may be drawn that the quantum & speed of positive input is not so important, but continuous inflow of positive beliefs is important. Only with regular inflow of positivity, the deep-rooted negativity will be flushed out of your system.
(In the upcoming article of this series, we will know how you can get rid of poor self-image by taking inspirations from some famous personalities for overcoming some limiting beliefs inculcated since childhood. So, stay tuned every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. Happy G.O.P.T.A.)
