Congress President Rahul Gandhi Pulls No Punches In Attack On PM Modi At Rajasthan Rally

Congress President Rahul Gandhi was welcomed by Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot at Dabok Airport in Udaipur.

JAIPUR: Rahul Gandhi on Thursday visited poll-bound Rajasthan where he was scheduled to meet party workers and address a public gathering in the Dungarpur district, adjoining Udaipur.

Dungarpur, a tribal district in south Rajasthan, is part of the Vagad region.Congress has been trusted by tribals, but in the last election they switched to BJP.

Ahead of Rahul’s arrival, AICC general secretary and former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot “welcomed” Rahul to the state.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi Thursday said people are now heard saying that the country’s ‘watchman’ is a ‘thief’.

“PM Modi handed over the deal for Rafale aircraft to Ambani, who has never made an aircraft in his entire life. The Prime Minister did not even consult the Defence Minister before ensuring that the Rafale contract went to Ambani,” Rahul Gandhi said while speaking in Dungarpur.

The Congress chief said, “PM Modi demonetised currency and made the whole country to stand in queues to exchange their money. Have you seen Lalit Modi or Vijay Mallya stand in the queue?

“The petrol and diesel in the vehicles of ‘Gaurav Yatra’ of BJP have been bought with the money stolen from the common people,” he added.

Gandhi’s Rajasthan visit today witnessed a fiery speech from the Congress president, which comes days after his roadshow in Madhya Pradesh. Gandhi also raised the issue of employment during his rally in Dungarpur.

Rahul Gandhi also praised Rajasthan party leaders for showing unity before the elections scheduled for the end of the year.Rahul also promised he would give more tickets to women this time.

Elections in three states will be important. It will speak about the trend for the 2019 elections.This is also Rahul’s second visit to Rajasthan since his roadshow in Jaipur on 11 August.
