DIVINE JUSTICE AWAITS THE LIKES OF ASARAM AND RAM RAHIM

Will undergoing punishments pronounced by the Laws of land unblemish the tarnished characters of so called ‘spiritual gurus’ like Asaram or Ram Rahim?

Clad in white robes Asaram used to play god for his thousands of devotees swinging their heads in trance as he would look out for his next prey in the crowd ready to do anything for his pleasure.

And the super hero Ram Rahim doning himself as silver screen heroes and religious gurus of the past would enthrall his devotees with dance numbers on the stage. For their umpteen heinous crimes they have been sentenced to remain behind the bars till they live. But what about when they die? Is the Law of land an extension to the supreme Law of Almighty? Or is the punishment sentenced and undergone in life sufficient for the crimes they committed in the eyes of God?

These punishments were indeed of the body and not of the soul which remains entangled till the suksham shareerah is able to shed all the effects of karma.  Not surprisingly, the Laws of land do not cover a minuscule of the wrong deeds a human performs in life and is subjected to divine punishment when time comes for supreme justice. The witnesses of the earthly crimes may back out, may be bought or killed or may turn hostile under pressure, as in the case of Asaram,, but the witnesses in the eyes of God can never be overcome.

Normally one thinks that the crime committed in darkness, away from the eyes of others, or not subjected to crime in the eyes of the Law of Land, is not a crime. One may escape the eyes of physical witnesses in wilderness of the earth or in the mid air or under the sea. But one must remember that the real witnesses are not outside the body, they are well within us. And no amount of pressure or force may alter their stand. Even if one may escape from the Laws of Land, none can escape the ultimate divine justice of the Supreme Lord meted out upon each and every one of us.

“Rape is not a crime for Brahamgyanis”, the rapist Asaram is reported to have told a section of the media. Let each one of us realize that Brahamgyanis, the saints, the preachers, are more subjected to punishments as they are supposed to set examples for the society at large to follow. But were they ‘brahamgyanis’ at all or ‘Saints’ as made out by their blind followers? A brahamgayani will be first required to control all this sensory instincts. The attractions of this materialist world, this physical body. Total renunciation, from worldly desires.

If we look back into their lives a few years or decades ago, these ‘Saints” may have started  as small time preachers, having been goaded into spirituality by some guru or by their own inner sense. The initial objective may not have been as vile as they opted to tread over a period of time. Obviously as the vision is opaqued by the materialistic possessions, one starts giving a deaf ear to the inner voice.

The growing number of followers may have made them stick out their neck like a camel, while the money power and muscle power may have made them walk like an elephant and bark like a dog thus beginning to poison their minds. As the animal psyche takes over the human psyche, one is destined to suffer. Their beginning may not have been suspicious and some amount of spirituality may have prevailed upon them. Their gradual journey of finding gullible and innocent followers may have lead them on the path of spiritual and moral deterioration.  True, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The blots now are not on their attire, but on their souls indeed. And no amount of punishment they undergo in this life is going to lessen the upheavals their souls are bound to suffer in many a  lives to come. Let us peep into the system of divine justice.

In Shrimad Bhagwat Purana, there are references that a number of witnesses are bound to stand against us as we are meted the divine justice by the Supreme. And not surprisingly, all of these witnesses reside within us and record our actions day in and day out. None of our moments or movements go unrecorded. Of these witnesses five are elements a human body is made up of. The fire, earth, air, sky and water are the very elements of this physical body. Then there are 10 witnesses of the ethereal body.

The five gyan indriyas and five karm indriyas. Just imagine how can one escape any of these sense elements? All our karmas are virtually performed through these very sense organs. Your own eyes, ears, nose, skin and tongue were witness to whatever you performed. Your own hands and legs and other organs were grossly involved as you performed the karma.  The other witnesses are time (kaal) – day, night, evening; Direction- East, west, north and south; planetary positions of sun, moon, etc. Broadly one may try to escape other witnesses but how can one escape one’s own 10 instincts?
And when all these witnesses are going to stand against you, what is going to be the eternal justice. Jara Vichar Kijiyega….
