Moonwhite Films International Film Festival was created to address the woes of creative folks, especially those who migrated from their homeland to make their mark in a highly competitive and overcrowded industry called Bollywood. MWFIFF is the creation and the brainchild of Mr. Devashish, writer, director par excellence with over a decade of experience.
Devashish Sargam who is Born and Brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra is multi-faceted personality with distinct creative attributes. He belongs to family who are synonymous with music and musicians. Interestingly, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series launched his Debut Music Video Album which was Super Hit specially the Song “KHAT’ which crossed billions hit on you tube through mesmerizing songs and music in India and across the globe which fetched him immense popularity and accolades. Soon after this huge success Devashish Sargam came up with another Album “Aye Sorry Tujhe Salam” was a Massive Hit and he was consecutively Artist for 2 months on B4U Music TV Channel. Devashish Sargam has also worked with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM Mumbai for three years as Concept Writer for their super hit show called ‘Sun Taro Ki Dhun’ with none other then RJ Rahat Ji and RJ Suvashit Raj.
Incidentally, Devashish Sargam is also a Award Winning Film Writer Director, Composer and Actor.
In 2015-16, ‘Kill Hand’ his Debut Short film was Nominated in as many as seven countries internationally, and finally won the “Award of Recognition” in Canada. In the subsequent year he was again Nominated and been Awarded for another Short Film titled ‘The Stone Girl’.
His streak of laurels continued with the hatrick Last Year i.e. 2017-18 when another feather added up to his talented cap when he was Chosen the Best Writer & Director for his Creative Short Film titled ‘The Masked Prostitute’ and again been Awarded for the Best Director and Best Awareness Short Film ” Dengue The Killing Machine”
Being in the thick of the action most of the time Devashish Sargam is well versed with the nitty-gritty of film making such as script writing, direction, editing and of course the experience of struggling days always keep him rooted to the ground. It is because of these varied attributes which made it possible for him to conceive and create a one of a kind film festival i.e ‘Moonwhite Films International Film Fest’ – MWFIFF. Although ‘Moonwhite Films International Film Festival’ has just begun its journey and may appear nascent, but its ideation and conceptualization has been done by Mr. Devashish Sargam, a highly experienced and passionate Writer & Director
Film festivals generally focus on bridging various film fraternities from across the globe, providing that span to connect film makers from a myriad of cultural and social backgrounds. Festivals are also held to allow little know cinematic individuals to showcase their talent in front of international celluloid lovers and critics
However, many times the latter goal, and the only soulful virtue is lost in a whirlpool of commercial repercussions. It is this defect which prompted Moonwhite Films International Film Fest – MWFIFF to create a Unique Festival which fulfils that missing oath, that leverage to talented individuals to portray their ideas, thoughts, emotions, creativity in the most compelling art form – films.
MWFIFF offers an unbiased platform to successful and serious filmmakers as well as those who are relatively new but loaded with one of a kind Creative Vista. When we use the word unbiased we mean Equal Opportunity for those who are successful and also for those who lack the required thrust. Moonwhite Films International Film Fest- MWFIFF is a festival with LIVE Screening will be happening in the heart of Mumbai City, Maharashtra, India. Selected movies will be screened followed with the Award Ceremoney on 24th & 25th Nov 2018. Nominated Films will be receiving only Certifictes and Winners will be awarded with Trophy and Certificates. All Awards and Certificates will be presented by Panel of Juries listed on the website and also by the Chief Guest present on the day of the Event.
