J P Dutta’s PALTAN based on Indo-China war in 1967!

MUMBAI : J P Dutta, who wrapped up his highly anticipated, PALTAN, has revealed that the movie is based on Indo-China war that took place in 1967. A connoisseur of war dramas with acclaimed films such as Border, Refugee and LOC Kargil to his credit, Dutta has packaged yet another chapter of the Indian history in the form of his next.
The film’s ensemble cast includes Sonu Sood, Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane, Gurmeet Choudhary ,Luv Sinha, Siddhant Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan, Monica Gill and Dipika Kakar. Given that war drama is a multi-starrer and being helmed by the National Award-winning filmmaker, the cast and the crew of PALTAN have been raving about the experience of shooting this film, which has only raised the buzz around it.

The filmmaker says, “In 1962, the Chinese started the war, and in 1967, we ended it for them. It’s an important part of our history.”

Made with the intention to honour real life heroes of the nation, the upcoming film has a subject line that Dutta feels passionate about. Produced by JP Films and presented by Zee Studios, PALTAN will release soon.
