Were you interested in acting since childhood?

Since childhood I was attracted to acting. From the beginning in the school, the college’s cultural program my acting was very much appreciated. The teachers advised me that I should go ahead in acting, and then participated   in school’s program.

How much your family supported your acting career?

I am from a middle class family in Bareilly. The film and television acting career first faced the opposition at home.

Initially my mother had refused but my elder sister Jyotsna supported me and slowly my younger sister Surabhi took her for my acting.

How difficult it was to make name in Bollywood?

From the support of the family, I started modeling in Chandigarh. I participated in many events in Delhi and Chandigarh. In Delhi I got in touch with many people and then one of my closest friends offered me to come to Mumbai for the album, then I was very excited for Mumbai, I left for Mumbai without any delay.

How hard it was to get the first show?

I started a conversation with one of my producers in connection with a private album, I came to Mumbai for the discussion related to shooting locations and creativity, during that time I also gave two to three auditions, at that time  there were casting going on for different roles of the Star Plus show Pardes mein hai mera dil. I have been finalized for Ekta Kapoor’s show. It was a big deal for me. For In Pardesh mein hai mera dil, Rohini was the nurse’s character who was negative, so I started getting notice soon. Then I got an opportunity to act in many more hurry soon.

After the TV you are ready for the big screen?

I want to make something bigger, there is more scope in the film, so at this time I am more excited about the film. I want to tell you that I have just signed my first Hindi movie of Rambo 999 Entertainment and the director Rajesh Dua’s film “Uljhan” I have been selected for the main actress. The movie “Uljhan” is a fast-packed suspense movie. In the movie the husband oppressed from his marriage killed his wife and   this murder was connected to some big suspense. The suspense will glue the viewers to their seats.

It would not be right to say a favorite to any person, yes, if you talk about any TV serial, then the third queen of Chandra Nandini is very close to my heart. The show Chandra Nandini has proven to be a very effective teaching show for me. I like Chakradhari AjayKrishna’s character too, in which I have played the role of Siddhi, wife of Ganesh God

Who is your favorite actress & actor ?

I love Madhuri Dixit, she is my biggest inspiration. Madhuri ji’s style is very natural. I learn a lot from her acting and dance. With Madhuriji, I like Priyanka Chopra also. It is important that Priyanka Chopra is from my city Bareilly, and I am very proud of it.

Govindaji is my favorite. His timing is so wonderful. I do not know, if its possible or not but  my dream is to work with him. I have been a tremendous fan of his films since childhood. I love Akshay Kumar’s acting too.

Which is your favorite character on screen?

I want to play the role of a warrior type, I’m always impressed with the theme of Mythology, so the role of a warrior in any big mythological story is my dream role.

What will you do if you ever get an exposure roll?

I think the theme of Hindi film is changing fast, body performance is now a matter of old age, if Exposer is an integral part of the story, then I do not think it would be difficult. But I will refrain from the character where the actress has just to add spice on the screen.
