1200 Buyers From 81 Countries, Buying Agents, Wholesalers And Retailers Visited The Show
NEW DELHI – 4th June, 2020 : The first virtual fair on Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories show organised by Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts, concluded today with over 1200 overseas importers from 81 countries participating online besides 500 buying agents and wholesalers and retailers said Ravi K. Passi, Chairman – EPCH. The serious enquiries worth Rs. 150 crores were generated, he told.
Rakesh Kumar, Director General – EPCH said that more than 200 member exporters of fashion jewellery & accessories participated in the show from all parts of the Country on the virtual platform reposing faith in EPCH’s ability to provide a viable alternative marketing platform to the exporters.
The fashion jewellery, semi precious jewellery, stoles, scarves, shawls, hand bags, clutch, purses, belts, wallets, neck ties, beads, stones, crystal, hair accessories, fancy fashion footwear, tattoes and bindies were on display by the participants.
The last day of the show remained hectic with organisation of ramp shows, webinar and Ajay Shankar Memorial Awards to the best virtual stands set up by the participants.
Ajay Shankar Memorial awards were distributed and the recipient of gold award in Fashion jewellery category was M/s Kenway Sartaj Worldwide, Moradabad. M/s Shringaar Exports Pvt. Ld, Noida won the Silver award and M/s Kohli Overseas Trading Co., Delhi won the bronze award in fashion jewellery category.
In Fashion Accessories category M/s Mangoes Industries Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon won the Gold award, M/s Richie Bags and Fashion Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata won the silver award and M/s Ahuja Overseas, Jaipur won the bronze award.
The awards were given by Ravi K. Passi, Chairman – Rakesh Kumar, Director General and R.K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH.

We still have lot to do as far as precision, finish and presentation is concerned and we need to match our capabilities with our competitors in China, Thailand, Indonesia and other countries.
